Russian Instrumental Case

Did you know that when we use the Instrumental case in the meaning of instrument or tool, we do not use a preposition (in these cases, the prepositions “with” or “by” are used n English)?

For example,

Я ем ложкой. I eat with a spoon.

Он забивает гвоздь молотком. He drives a nail in with a hammer.

Они пишут ручкой. They write with a pen.
