Question
I am puzzled by the sentence "Нам всем придётся вы́йти в суббо́ту на рабо́ту".
Why is "придётся" in the singular when "Нам всем" (to us) is plural?
Искренне Ваш Roy
Answer
Hi Roy! The verb "придётся" is an example of an impersonal verb, so it is always used in the same form, in 3rd person, singular. This verb is always used with the Dative case. Another example of an impersonal verb used with the Dative case is удаваться-удаться (to manage to do smth).
For example,
Завтра мне придётся много работать. Tomorrow I will have to work much.
На следующей неделе им придётся уехать. They will have to leave next week.
