Neuter noun changes to its genitive form, о —> а, е —> я, but the word сердце its genitive is now сердца , why?

Hi Michael!
It is because of the letter ц. Я cannot be used after ц, you have to use а.
Сердце - сердца
Солнце - солнца
Блюдце - блюдца.
