Instrumental case in “Your father, the son of the Emperor”

Question

Hi everyone,

I was wondering why when translating the following sentence, "son" is written in instrumental. I know that "Emperor" is written in genitive because it expression the relationship, but I do not get why the instrumental is also used.

"Your father, the son of the Emperor."
"Твой отец, сыном Императора."

Thanks in advance!

Answer

Hi Martin,

Without a context, it sounds like a mistake.
