Did you know that we use the Prepositional case with some time expressions, and the Accusative case with the others? It has to be memorized.
The words used with the Prepositional case: неделя (week), месяц (month), год (year). However, with the words час (hour), минута (minute), секунда (second), эпоха (time period), момент (moment), the days of the week the Accusative case is used.
