How to express simultaneity in Russian

Did you know that you can use four different constructions to express simultaneity in Russian? These are пока, когда, в то время как, по мере того как. For example,

Пока я читала, собака грызла игрушку. While I was reading, the dog was chewing a toy.

Когда ты пришёл домой, он спал. When you came home, he was sleeping.

В то время как они были на уроке, я писала статью. While they were on the lesson, I was writing an article.
