Did you know that you can use four different constructions to express succession in Russian? These are когда, после того как, с тех пор как, как только. For example,

Когда я вышла на улицу, начался дождь. When I went outside, it started to rain.

После того как они купили новую машину, они стали чаще путешествовать. After they bought a new car, they traveled more often.

Я сильно устаю с тех пор, как устроился на новую работу. I have been very tired since I took a new job.
