The Secret of the Particle ся and сь

Did you know that we use the particle ся after consonants and сь after vowels?

For example,

1. Я учился в университете, а она училась в школе. I studied at university and she studied at school.
2. Они обнялись и поцеловались. They hugged and kissed.
