Contemporary Russian society is featured in this course. The classes can cover all of the above mentioned topics, or focus on one or two concrete aspects of the course, according to the wishes of students.

This course is intended for students from levels B2 - C1 and comprises 30 hours. The course may, however, be extended according to the wishes of students.

As part of the course, several different learning resources created especially for foreign students who are studying Russian are used. Video lessons focusing on Russian geography are also used. Natalia is a terrific teacher who has helped me a lot to improve my Russian. I studied Russian many years ago and have used it only passively -- reading and translating, but speaking very little and writing almost not at all. That means that my recollection of grammar and retention of vocabulary leave a lot to be desired. Natalia is very good at figuring out what I am trying to say, even when many of the words I use are wrong! She is patient, but also concentrates very well on steering our discussions in a focused way, so that I do not lose sight of the grammatical point we are working on. It has been very helpful to me to have the discipline of a weekly one-hour class, to force myself to work hard and do the homework.

Evgenia is always enthusiastic, motivated, and in a good mood. She knows how to explain grammatical questions, the structure of the language, how and why. She does all this while introducing her students to elements of Russian culture, as it is impossible to understand a language without considering its culture.

My name is Alexandra Lyle and my mother tongue is English. I have been taking online Russian classes with Yulia Amlinskaya for over a year via Skype.

I thoroughly recommend Yulia as a teacher. She provides all relevant study materials on an ongoing basis, and she gives clear and thorough explanations of all my questions, whether they be grammar questions or questions about any aspect of Russian culture. I love that the lessons are conducted in Russian, and also that Yulia’s fluency in English means that I can ask for the Russian translation of certain English expressions or items of vocabulary.

As well, Yulia is consistent, reliable, patient, and fun – all qualities that go towards making her classes an enjoyable and stimulating experience. I am happy to recommend her online Russian language school, “Russificate”.
