Russian for Beginners

Julia Sutuginiene was preparing me for passing TORFL-3 examination. At the beginning of our studies my knowledge of Russian language was about TORFL-2 level.

As I took Russian lessons from different teachers I am confident to say that Julia Sutuginiene is one of the best teachers. I can state that I have a considerable progress in Russian and I have made a great step on the way of improving this language.

To my mind the main factor of this progress is because Julia is a very gifted teacher and she uses special methods of teaching. She is strict and she doesn’t give an opportunity for the pupils to waste their time in vain, every minute of her lesson is clearly planned and prepared beforehand, the plan of each lesson is thoroughly done and thought out.

My program was constantly corrected according to my demands and also taking into consideration the level of my understanding of the material. This fact confirms the high level of the teacher’s qualification. Julia never forgets what was done during the lessons, what is the planning for the next lesson, and she constantly checks up my homework, always uses various kinds of modern literature, a lot of audio materials, interesting video courses as well as her own working ups, and many other techniques.

I highly appreciate Julia’s professional qualities, qualification and pedagogical abilities and I will be glad to confirm my estimation and to give you additional data of her professional qualities in case you need them.

I've been taking online lessons from Alexandra for about four years on and off. I am interested in Russian literature and thus have watched video lectures on literature, written summaries of them, and read various literary texts with her. Alexandra is an excellent teacher and a truly intellectual person. She always clarifies my questions, explains to me the differences between similar expressions, and shares with me her accurate and logical interpretations of the videos/texts. This process greatly helps me gain new perspectives on the videos/texts and understand the world of Russian literature more deeply. I would also like to express my gratitude for Yulia, the director of the school, who is prompt, understands my needs very well, and introduced me to the wonderful teacher Alexandra.

Learning, particularly another language can be a pain, a torture and something that may not be easily understandable. But learning Russian language with Julia Sutuginiene can be a joy and something that will stay with you, and make you want to learn more!

Julia's teaching was wonderful! She is a master teacher and her energy and enthusiasm were evident! I was a beginner when I started lessons with Julia and during our classes I reached B1 level! This was a class I always looked forward to. Her techniques and the fact that classes were fun made all the difference from other teachers that I had had before.
