Do you know the difference between большой and больший?

Do you know that in Russian there are two adjectives that look alike but have two different meanings? Today we are talking about большой and больший. The former means “big”, while the latter is “bigger than”. They are used in different situations.

For example,

Новые технологии вызывают большой интерес. New technologies are of great interest.

К новым технологиям возникает всё больший интерес в обществе. There is an increasing interest in new technologies in society.
