Question
Hi. I would like to know the meaning of this verb "успеть"...? It's part of a song, which goes like this: Нам не успеть...
Answer
Hi! The verb "успевать-успеть" means "to have the time for smth". It is always used with the Dative case (in the construction "не успеть", which means impossibility because of lack of time) and with a perfective infinitive.
For example,
Мне не успеть сделать эту работу.
I won't have the time to finish this work.
