Question

Wiktionary leaves the first person single future tense blank.
How should I say "I will win"
In the Russian cartoon "Masha and the Bear" I heard Masha used the word "побежу" is this allowed?

Answer

Hi Weikang,

The verb победить does not have any form of the 1st person singular, it is an exception. Some other verbs that do not have this form are: убедить, очутиться, ощутить, чудить, дудеть, пылесосить.
